Domingo DeGrazia blends Spanish guitar passion with the flair of Flamenco music. His music couples dynamic rhythms with vibrant Latin, Salsa and rock drum beats. An Arizona native raised with the sounds and imagery of the desert southwest, Domingo’s guitar playing has charmed audiences with songs that are as rhythmic as they are percussive; moving from passionate to whimsical, elegant to sorrowful.
He was born in the United States and raised in the desert southwest. Youngest son of the late artist Ted DeGrazia, Domingo carries on the family legacy for artistry and diversity. A renaissance man like his father, Domingo holds college diplomas in Aerospace, Aeronautical science, and Law. His is a licensed pilot and helicopter pilot, a skydiver, a certified scuba diver, a former X-Games bicycle stunt rider and is a former motorcycle road racer, and is well versed in other outdoor sports.
Domingo DeGrazia carries the role of front-man and lead guitar while Grammy nominated artist Jim Pavett brings percussion and live drums. Violinist Beth Daunis brings exotic and soulful violin while Mark Brugler and Aaron Kirk round out the core of the band with bass and rhythm guitar. Jim Pavett is an experienced studio/live drummer, recording engineer, producer and a 20+ year veteran of the recording industry. Ms. Daunis has been playing the violin for 23 years. Her training began at the age of four, and continued through Bennington College under the tutelage of renowned chamber musician Diane Pascal.
DeGrazia’s Spanish guitar CD, San Carlos, met acclaim on its released in 2007. The CD is DeGrazia’s second CD under his name and follows his solo classical guitar CD, Calendars, released in 2003. December of 2009 saw the release of the Spanish Guitar and Violin CD, The Bluest Sky.
